Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of OpenResume.uz ("OpenResume", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Description of Service

OpenResume lets you build, edit, and export resumes, including generating or improving resume content with AI and importing resume content from a LinkedIn or hh.uz PDF export. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

You sign in using a Google or GitHub account. You're responsible for keeping that account secure and for all activity that happens under your OpenResume account. You must be at least 16 years old to use OpenResume.

4. Your Content

You own the resume content you create, upload, or import. By using OpenResume, you give us permission to store, process, and display that content back to you, and - only when you ask us to generate or improve content - to send the relevant text to our AI provider for that purpose. We don't use your resume content to train AI models, and we don't share it with other users.

You're responsible for making sure the content you add doesn't violate anyone else's rights and is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

5. Acceptable Use

Please don't use OpenResume to:

• Upload unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing content.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Use the service to build resumes on behalf of someone else without their consent.
• Reverse-engineer or misuse the AI generation features to abuse the underlying model.

6. AI-Generated Content

Resume content generated or improved by AI is produced automatically from the information you provide. It may contain inaccuracies, and it's your responsibility to review, edit, and verify anything AI-generated before you use it - for example, in a real job application. We don't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

7. Third-Party Sign-In

Signing in with Google or GitHub is subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies. We aren't responsible for how those providers handle your information outside of what they share with us.

8. Subscriptions & Payments

OpenResume is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in the future, pricing, billing terms, and a payment processor will be clearly presented before you're charged, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.

9. Intellectual Property

The OpenResume name, branding, templates, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our branding or software beyond what's needed to use the service normally.

10. Termination

You may stop using OpenResume and delete your account at any time from Profile settings. We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service, with notice where reasonably possible.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

OpenResume is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenResume and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including outcomes related to job applications made using resumes created here.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use OpenResume after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
